I just wanted to update you on my airing on The Joni Lamb Show named “Sustainable Living/Cooking” Wednesday April 30th beginning at 6:00 am, 7:30 pm and again at 1:00 am CT time zone. It will air on Daystar TV.
I will be talking at Table for the first half of the show and showing the fabulous four of Joni, April, Kendra, and Cindy (they really are fabulous – you’ve never met nicer folks) how to cook Tilapia in Paper, Zucchini Bisque, and Buttermilk Pie!
Here is a little excerpt of my trip to Dallas! It was fun and amazing!
Daystar is in Dallas and it is huge! I didn’t realize the network was worldwide. The studio is amazing, and the folks there are just fantastic. Arriving in Dallas by plane is always breathtaking to me.
I took Graylyn, my oldest daughter, along with me and I am so glad that I did. Her birthday is coming up and I thought this would be great one-on-one time with her. We were treated like royalty, getting to stay at the Hilton with shops all around and a great restaurant attached!
I reviewed my notes and spent time talking with The Schlatzlines – who were also from Alabama – in the Green Room. Wow, it is a small world.
After my interview on the Joni Lamb Table Talk Show, we went to the kitchen where we prepared Tilapia in Paper, Zucchini Bisque, and Buttermilk Pie!! Soooo Good and sooo Fun! I then went through the process of canning tomatoes and preserving strawberry jam.
By the end of the very long day, my feet were killing me. After a delayed flight and TWO gate changes we boarded the plane, and I was able to take my shoes off only to be told that everyone had to leave the plane (paperwork issues). Oh, my aching feet! Does anyone take their shoes off in a plane…no one I was sitting around…I was looking!
All in all, this was a great trip to go down in my memory file. I enjoyed Graylyn so much as a traveling companion and the best daughter ever (all my girls are, btw) and look forward to any future trips. I do have to say that Texas wins the prize for the nicest folks!!
