Fish: As Healthy As It Is Tasty

Besides tasting amazing, fish is incredibly healthy. It’s low in fat, yet high in protective omega-3 fatty acids. It contains vitamins D and B2 as well as calcium, and phosphorus, and other important nutrients.

Did you know some research suggests that eating fish twice a week lowers your risk of Alzheimer’s disease as well as some mental disorders?

My Favorite Fish Recipes

Every one of the my top fish recipes on the site is out of this world. I am trying to pick a favorite, but I love them all.

Greek Snapper has to be the cleanest, freshest tasting dish ever! If you haven’t tried this recipe yet, truly it must be on this summer’s bucket list.

The Crappie with White Beans is comforting, while the Catfish Piccata wakes you up with its tart capers and satisfying crunch.

Crab Cakes with Zesty Homemade Sauce are to die for! As fish recipes go, this is a top contender for my favorite. I could eat these crab cakes every night.

It doesn’t get much better than Herb Pecan Crusted Trout. But hey, why not try a little of everything and just have fun with a Fish Fry? If you do have a fish fry, don’t forget to serve these crazy amazing cheesy hushpuppies on the side.

Save these fish recipes! Make this healthy food a staple in your home at least a few times a month. Your family will thank you for it.

Stacy, Do you have any great Halibut recipes?

    1. Tom, I don’t have any on the site, but will try to get a few up for you. I would definitely do my Greek Snapper recipe using Halibut. Also, I’d use snapper in paper (it is steamed with vegetables in a paper packet). There are so many great recipes I’d making using Halibut!! It’s one of my favorite fish!
