Mixed Berry Iced Tea
What’s better than strawberry sweet tea in the summertime? If you love fruit, this mixed berry iced tea with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and/or blackberries might be the perfect iced tea.

It’s a thirst quenching, refreshing drink that looks beautiful in glasses or mason jars. The berries add vivid colors as well as incredible natural flavors and the nutritional punch of fruit.
How to Make Berry Tea
This fruit tea recipe starts from my basic iced tea. Once you have that prepared, you’ll make a simple syrup with white sugar and the fruit. (If the fruit is sweet enough, you may need less sweetener and can cut back on the sugar.)

- Make Southern sweet tea from this recipe.
- Grab a saucepan and add 4 cups of water, 1½ cups of sugar, and 4 cups of mixed berries. You can use fresh or frozen, whatever you have on hand. Bring this beautiful mixture to a boil over high heat, then let it simmer for about 10 minutes. The smell is going to be incredible!
- Now, strain the mixture. If you have a wide-topped pitcher, you can go ahead and strain the fruit syrup directly into the pitcher using a mesh strainer.
- Fill the rest of the pitcher with fresh iced tea, stir, and then the tea is ready to pour and enjoy.
- Here is an extra step to impress your family and guests, or just you! Take a separate 2-quart pitcher and add a handful of frozen berries to the bottom. Fill the pitcher up halfway with ice. The frozen berries will be beautiful, but they aren’t just for looks—they are going to help keep the tea nice and cold without watering it down too much.
- Next, layer some sliced lemon rounds between the ice and the glass all the way around the pitcher. It’s going to look gorgeous, and the ice will keep the lemons upright when you pour in the tea from your other pitcher.
- Now, carefully pour fresh iced tea into the pitcher. Give the tea a stir and top it off with a few more berries and a sprig or two of fresh mint.
- Pour the tea into glasses, garnish with lemon sliced and strawberry pieces if desired, and voilà —stunning and delicious mixed berry iced tea, ready to wow your guests!
