Ingredients

Smoky Baked BBQ Ribs

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4-5 pounds pork spare ribs

Quick and Easy BBQ Sauce

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Alaga Cane Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon white-wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, to taste

Instructions

Smoky Baked BBQ Ribs

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a cooling rack on top of the pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub olive oil over the front and back of the ribs. Sprinkle the dry mixture all over the ribs. Place the ribs on the cooling rack with the meaty side facing upward.
  • Bake the ribs for a total of about 2 1/2 hours. Bake the ribs uncovered for the first hour. Place a loose tent of foil over the ribs for another hour. Remove the ribs and brush BBQ sauce on the bottom of the ribs and place them back in the oven for about 15 minutes. Remove ribs from oven, turn the ribs over and brush remaining sauce on the meaty side of the ribs. Place them back in the oven uncovered, meaty side up, and bake for another 15 minutes.

Quick and Easy BBQ Sauce

  • Whisk together all ingredients.
