Baked Peaches with Honey and Almonds
Baked Peaches with Honey and Almonds is a recipe you will use again and again. It’s gorgeous and so incredibly delicious. The elegance peaches bring to the table is quite stunning, but the flavor is out of this world. Besides Southern Peach Tea, this recipe needs to be in your arsenal of healthy Southern recipes.
If you didn’t know, peaches are rich in vitamin A and Beta-carotene as well as potassium, fluoride, and iron. Peaches actually prevent tooth decay.
Clanton, Alabama is the home of Peach Park, Durbin Farms, and other Farmer’s Markets that support the peach farmer’s in Alabama. The core of their business is…you guessed it… the mighty peach! If you’ve never had a fried peach pie from Peach Park you must put it on your bucket list. Do it now. If you don’t have a bucket list, make one just to write on it “go to Peach Park and devour a fried peach pie.” Seriously, it’s that good.
Baked Peaches are light and absolutely perfect after dinner, especially when entertaining or grilling out. I don’t think there exists a sweeter fruit than the peach when it is ripe. Add a drizzle of honey and some toasted almonds with homemade whipped cream and you’ve really got something special. It’s really just that easy.
