Creating a Wildlife Sanctuary

What a great delivery! Our family is about to create a wildlife sanctuary. It’s is time to plant fields full of excellent nutrition for our wildlife, and I couldn’t have been happier (my husband and boy’s may have been happier) to get our heavy packages (according to our awesome UPS man) of Biologic Biomass last week.

Our friend, Bobby Cole, from Mossy Oak Biologic, graciously sent us enough seeds to plant the fields and create a SANCTUARY for our wild life. That is always our goal – to make our wildlife happy and give them nice long lives – and that is just what this product does.

Our family puts on the calendar a major planting weekend for our gardens and a food plot planting weekend for our fields.

I am not sure who enjoys it more. I can barely get my baby (she is really growing up) off the tractor with her daddy, but I know her daddy LOVES IT!! Just look at them.

I love watching the Scott and the boys plant the fields. They seem so peaceful…in their element. It’s kind of interesting, but makes sense…one of our boys says that he just loves the smell of dirt. When I look at this photo, I can understand that…it just represents peace, new life, joy. I am not sure if it is the quiet peace or the fact that they are managing the land and contributing to something bigger than themselves.

They seem so peaceful...in their element. I'm not sure if it is the quiet peace of open spaces or contributing to something bigger than themselves.

If any of you manage land, no matter how big or small, you must check out the Gamekeepers Magazine. Get your subscription HERE!

If you have never read one of their magazines, you are really missing out. My family cannot wait to receive ours in the mail. Usually one of the boys will get it from the mail carrier and kind of hide it reading it in secret because they know they will have to fight to read it if everyone sees it. Seriously, the articles are so incredibly informative and interesting that you  just can’t put it down. I am proud to say that I am honored to write for them and you will receive one of my recipes in every issue. Again, get your subscription HERE!

I would love to see pictures of you planting fields!! Post them on my FACEBOOK PAGE.
